The controversial Wenonah Park pavilion project took a step forward Wednesday morning with the Bay City Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors throwing its support behind building the structure.
The vote of support was expected, but it was not unanimous. At its meeting Wednesday morning, Dec. 14, at the Doubletree Hotel, the DDA board voted 9-2 in favor of building a 5,000-square-foot, multi-use, double-roofed pavilion, which could double as an ice skating rink, in the southeast corner of the downtown park.
