In the News: Times Lofts developer unveils rendering of luxury apartment building

Developers who are transforming the former Bay City Times building downtown into a luxury, loft-style apartment complex have unveiled a rendering of what the building will look like this fall.

Since April, crews have been demolishing the inside of the former newspaper building, 311 Fifth Street, that was built in 1910. The adaptive re-use project will convert the old building into 31 residential loft apartments, with units varying from a 590-square-foot one-bedroom to 1,625-square-foot three-bedroom.
